Transfer, taxi, rideshare or bus?

WSI is a long way from many parts of Sydney, so how you get to and from the terminal matters. Here is how a pre booked transfer compares.

Arriving at WSI: how to find your driver

Four simple steps from the plane to your vehicle.

  1. Keep your phone on

We send your driver details and meeting point by text before your pickup, so switch your phone on as soon as you land.

  2. Collect your bags

WSI has one terminal for domestic and international flights. If you are arriving from overseas, you clear immigration and customs first.

  3. Go to the meeting point

Your confirmation shows the exact spot. For most pre booked vehicles it is the commercial pickup area at the P1 car park, a short walk from the terminal.

  4. Meet your driver

Your driver tracks your flight and waits for you at the meeting point, with your free waiting time counted from when you land.

Check your booking says WSI

Before you book a transfer, check that your flight confirmation shows Western Sydney International or the airport code WSI.

Can't find your driver?

Call us on 02 9188 3991 and we will guide you to your vehicle.

Luggage: what fits

Tell us your bag count when you book and we will match the vehicle to your luggage as well as your passengers.

  • Standard allowance

One full size suitcase and one carry on bag per passenger. Coaches with 25 seats or more usually fit this for a full load.

  • Large or unusual items

Prams, golf bags, surfboards, bikes, ski gear and boxes take extra space. List them when you book so we can plan room for them.

  • More bags than seats?

We will recommend a larger vehicle or, where available, add a luggage trailer, and confirm any change to the fare before you travel.

  • Aisles stay clear

For safety, bags cannot go in the aisle or on seats needed by passengers, so undeclared extra luggage may not fit on the day.

Who books WSI transfers with us

From a family of five to a team of fifty, one vehicle and one fixed fare gets everyone and their bags there together.

  • Families and friends

Travel together with every bag in one vehicle, for one fixed fare. Eight people sharing a people mover within 10 km of the airport pay $190 between them.

  • Business teams and conferences

Bring a team in on the same flight and move them together. One booking, and one fixed price you can put in the budget before anyone flies.

  • Sports teams and clubs

Players, coaches and kit travel together. Coaches with 25 seats or more usually fit a full size case and a carry on per passenger.

  • Schools and universities

Student groups, exchange students and staff arriving together, with the vehicle confirmed before anyone boards the plane.

  • Tour groups and travel agents

WSI is Sydney's closest international airport to the Blue Mountains. Katoomba and Springwood are in our 30 to 50 km zone, with a set fare for every vehicle size.

  • Weddings and events

Guests flying in for a wedding, party or festival, collected together and taken straight to the venue or hotel.

  • FIFO workers

Early starts, late finishes and the same airport run every rotation. Book at a fixed fare, with your flight tracked if a connection runs late.

  • Western Sydney locals

From Penrith, Liverpool, Camden or Campbelltown, WSI is your nearby airport. Get dropped at the terminal and skip the airport parking.

Questions about WSI transfers

Fares and booking

How much is a transfer from Western Sydney Airport?

Fares start at $190 one way for an 8 seat people mover to or from suburbs within 10 km of the airport, such as Badgerys Creek, Luddenham, Bringelly and Leppington. Fares go up by zone and vehicle size, to $726 for a 50 to 57 seat coach in the 30 to 50 km zone. Type your suburb into the fare finder at the top of this page to see your price.

Is the fare per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle. You pay one fare for the whole vehicle, however many seats you fill. Eight people sharing an 8 seat people mover within 10 km of the airport pay $190 between them, which is under $24 each.

What does the fare include?

Your fare covers the whole vehicle and your driver for a one way trip to or from WSI, and includes GST. It is fixed when you book, with no surge pricing, so it will not change on the day.

Do you charge extra at night, on weekends or on public holidays?

Your fare is confirmed when you book and does not change on the day. If a surcharge applies to your date or time, it is included in the fare we confirm, never added afterwards.

My suburb isn't listed. Can you still take us?

Yes. For Sydney CBD, the Eastern Suburbs, the Lower North Shore, the Northern Beaches, the Central Coast, Wollongong or any suburb outside our fare zones, send us the address through the booking form and we will confirm a fixed price.

How do I book a trip back to the airport?

Book it as a second one way transfer at the same fares. Most travellers arrive on one day and fly out days or weeks later, so each trip is priced on its own. You can book both trips at the same time.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Yes. Contact us as early as you can. Changes and cancellations are handled under our Terms and Conditions, which apply to every booking.

Can a travel agent or event organiser book for a group?

Yes. Send us the passenger list, flight numbers and drop off addresses, and we will plan the vehicles and confirm one fixed fare for each transfer.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can, especially for groups, overnight pickups and busy periods like school holidays. Booking early gives you the widest choice of vehicles.

On the day

Where do we meet our driver at WSI?

Your confirmation shows the exact meeting point. For most pre booked vehicles it is the commercial pickup area at the P1 car park, a short walk from the terminal. Collect your bags first, then head there.

What if we can't find our driver?

Call us on 02 9188 3991 and we will guide you to your vehicle. Keep your phone switched on after you land so your driver can reach you too.

What if my flight is delayed or lands early?

We track your flight and move your pickup time to match when you actually land. Waiting is free for 60 minutes after an international landing and 30 minutes after a domestic landing.

Can you pick us up from WSI in the middle of the night?

Yes. WSI has no curfew, so flights land at all hours, and our transfers run at any time of day or night. There is no train to the airport yet, the public buses stop at 10pm, and the free WSI Link bus does not run between midnight and 4:30am (1am and 4:30am on Fridays and Saturdays), so a pre booked transfer is the simplest way home after a late landing.

When will you pick us up for a departing flight?

We plan your pickup time around your flight time, the distance, the size of your group and the traffic at that time of day, so you reach the terminal with time to check in. We confirm the pickup time with your booking.

Is it really door to door?

Yes. People movers, minibuses and smaller coaches collect you from your door. Full size coaches pick up at your door where the street allows, or from the nearest safe spot for a large vehicle, which we agree with you when you book.

Can we make extra stops on the way?

Yes, tell us when you book. Extra stops can change the fare, so we include them in the fixed price we confirm before you travel.

Can you collect a group arriving on different flights?

Yes. Send us every flight number and we will plan the pickups, either one vehicle timed around the group or separate vehicles for each arrival, and confirm the fare for each before you travel.

Passengers and luggage

Which vehicle do we need for our group and luggage?

Start with the number of passengers, then check your bags. Coaches with 25 seats or more usually fit one full size case and one carry on per passenger. People movers, minibuses and smaller coaches have limited luggage space, so if your group is travelling with a lot of luggage, tell us your bag count and we will recommend the right vehicle.

Do you provide child seats?

Tell us your children's ages when you book and we will confirm the right child seats or boosters for your vehicle.

Do you have wheelchair accessible vehicles?

Yes. Our fleet includes minibuses and coaches with wheelchair lifts or ramps. Tell us your needs when you book, as these vehicles must be reserved in advance, and we will confirm availability and the fare.

Can we bring surfboards, golf bags, bikes or prams?

Yes. List any large or unusual items when you book so we can plan the space. If they will not fit with your group, we will recommend a larger vehicle and confirm the fare before you travel.

Not yet. The Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport line is expected to open in 2027. Which buses go to WSI?

Five public bus routes link the airport with Penrith, Mount Druitt, Liverpool and Campbelltown every 30 minutes from 5am to 10pm. The free WSI Link bus runs to St Marys station from 4:30am to midnight, and until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. Yes. Taxis and rideshare collect passengers next to the terminal. Taxis at WSI run on the meter, as there is no fixed taxi fare, and rideshare prices are set by the app, so the cost can rise at busy times. A pre booked transfer has one fixed fare for your whole group.

How long does it take to get from WSI to Sydney CBD or Parramatta?
